Web & app calling

Voice inside your website or mobile app: customer support, team calls and connections to the telephone network.

IMPLEMENTATION

Two ways to build.

The same business task. Infrastructure that fits your data policy, team and budget.

01 / ON-PREMISES

Own hardware

Host WebRTC servers and integrate calling into your application.

How we implement it

  1. Deploy LiveKit, media services and TURN/STUN.
  2. Configure a SIP bridge if PSTN calls are required.
  3. Integrate SDKs, a token backend and calling UI; test networks.
Technology options
Self-hosted LiveKit, WebRTC, TURN/STUN, a SIP bridge, web and mobile SDKs.
Data & dependencies
Signalling, media servers and TURN run in your infrastructure. Media flows through these nodes; PSTN connectivity uses a carrier.
Budget components
Servers, calling UI, SDK integration and network tests; then TURN traffic, scaling and maintenance.
Operations & support
The support agreement assigns ownership of hardware, OS, applications, updates and incident response. Recovery is tested before launch.

02 / API PLATFORMS

International APIs

Integrate a provider SDK while retaining control over the UI and business logic.

How we implement it

  1. Set up LiveKit Cloud/Twilio Voice SDK account
  2. Integrate with backend for token generation
  3. Develop user interface for in-app calling
Technology options
LiveKit Cloud/Twilio Voice SDK/Telnyx WebRTC, Node.js/Python (backend), JavaScript/Swift/Kotlin (frontend)
Data & dependencies
External services process audio and necessary metadata. Before launch we review each component’s region, subprocessors, retention and deletion settings.
Budget components
Calling UI and a short-lived token backend; then minutes or sessions, media traffic, PSTN and application support.
Operations & support
The provider operates its platform; the project team maintains integrations, quotas and API changes within the agreed scope. Support coverage is defined by contract.
Discuss this option ↗

Technology choices are confirmed after an assessment. Platform names indicate implementation options, not partnership status. Calls to the public telephone network require a carrier in either model.

BEFORE LAUNCH

Agree what success looks like.

Our integration process ↗
  1. 01

Test calls in agreed browsers, phones and corporate networks.

  2. 02

Test microphone permissions, reconnection and call termination.

  3. 03

Provider secrets stay off the client; tokens are scoped and short-lived.

Security and budget, together.

Compare ownership, external processing, resilience and total cost over 12 and 36 months.
